I’m sure we’ll be out and about at one or more of these fun activities this weekend. I’m headed to a Food and Wine Bloggers Meetup at Kramer Vineyards on Saturday evening. I know, I’m neither a food blogger nor a wine blogger, but I met the ladies at Kramer Vineyards during the Canines Uncorked event, and they asked me to come. I can’t wait to blog about it next week.

What are you doing this weekend?

Dog Events for 8/12 – 8/14

Here’s the rundown on dog-related events happening this weekend in the Portland area.

Tualatin Dog Park Grand Opening
Festivities celebrating the long-awaited and much-anticipated new fenced dog park. Bring your dog and join in the Grand Opening Festivities which takes place during the Crawfish Festival! Free collapsible water bowls will be given away at the Grand Opening and Zelda, the world-famous bulldog, and her owner and creator, Carol Gardner will help celebrate opening the Tualatin Dog Park. So prepare your pup for fun! The off-leash dog park is a place just over half an acre in size where dogs can run and frolic with other dogs in a contained area and their human companions can socialize and enjoy the beautiful park at the same time. There are separate small dog and large/active dog areas, so all dogs can have a comfortable place to play. The Tualatin Dog Park Grand Opening is scheduled during the Crawfish Festival so if you’re in the park already, make a point of coming to the pooch party! Crawfish Festival admission is not required to attend the Grand Opening. For more information, please call 503.691.3061.
Location: Tualatin Community Park (North of railroad trestle next to the sports field on the pathway to the Ki-a-Kuts Bicycle and Pedestrian Bridge)
